ROVERS' new manager Paul Ince will be bringing his assistant from his Macclesfield and Milton Keynes days to work alongside him once again.

Ray Mathias has played a huge part in the success that Ince enjoyed during his first two years on the managerial ladder and will join up with the new Rovers boss for a third spell.

"I'm bringing in Ray Mathias as my assistant," confirmed Ince. "I've had a chat with the Chairman about a couple of other people that we are looking to bring in.

"I think it is important, especially in the Premier League, that you have the right first team coach who has that experience and has been there.

"We've got one or two names that we are looking at and we should be able to make an announcement within the next week or so."
