The right man for the job
CHAIRMAN John Williams was delighted to introduce new manager Paul Ince to the assembled media at Ewood Park this lunchtime.
A packed Media Theatre saw Paul Ince displayed as the new boss of Blackburn Rovers, with Williams ecstatic at getting "the right man for the job."
"We had a thorough and structured process and at the end of which Paul emerged clearly as the outstanding candidate," said the Rovers Chairman.
"Throughout that process he exhibited all the characteristics that you want to see in your next manager.
"On Sunday when he signed his contract I saw genuine excitement and enthusiasm, it was incredibly refreshing and uplifting. I know it will be infectious on the training ground, in the dressing room and dare I say it in the boardroom.
"He's a very hungry man, he is clearly driven, a proven winner as a player and a manager, he's determined to succeed, but at the same time I think this serving of his apprenticeship in the lower leagues means his feet are firmly on the ground.
"He absolutely understands the nature of the challenge, he knows it will be tough, but I think he's ready for it and I think he knows it is going to be hard work and I believe that he will be able to build on the solid platform that we've given him, and I think he'll take us forward.
"Having assessed all the candidates we believe that Paul is the right man for the job, I think he has got all the credentials."
