Internationals back in action
BRETT Emerton's Australia will kick off a host of international fixtures taking place over the next few days.
With four World Cup qualifiers to be played in June, Australia face Ghana in a friendly match in Sydney on Friday 23rd May.
Following the friendly match, they then face a double-header with Iraq in their World Cup qualifying group, the first game in Brisbane on June 1st, the second game away in Dubai on Saturday June 7th.
A week later they travel to Doha to take on Qatar before a return to Sydney to take on China in another qualifier.
Australia top their Asian Group 1 with one win and one draw from their games played so far.
Closer to home the Netherlands start their preparation for Euro 2008 with three friendly matches. Saturday 24th May sees Andre Ooijer's side take on the Ukraine in Rotterdam before a match in Eindhoven against Denmark on May 29th.
June 1st sees their final friendly match when they play Wales in Eindhoven before their Euro 2008 opener against Italy on June 9th.
Also on international duty over the next few days is Martin Olsson. The young defender is in Sweden's under 21 squad as they take part in a four team tournament on home soil.
Sunday 25th May sees them face Portugal, with matches against Holland on May 28th and France on May 31st to follow.
