Hughes - dropped points
MARK Hughes was far from happy after his side blew the chance to close the gap on the sides above them after Fulham levelled late against Rovers.
Morten Gamst Pedersen's 59th minute header looked to have sent Rovers on their way to their third consecutive victory, but spurned further chances proved costly as Jimmy Bullard curled home a free-kick a minute from time to earn a share of the spoils.
Speaking on Radio Rovers after the game, the Rovers boss said: "We're annoyed that we haven't been able to get maximum points.
"We were in a position to see the game but conceded a free-kick in a poor area and they've taken a point from the game. We couldn't do anything about the free-kick it was a great free-kick.
"At 1-0 I felt that we should have been able to see the game out, at times we threw caution to the wind trying to get a second. Maybe at times were are too keen to get on the front foot and attack teams, when we needed to be a little bit more professional.
"It is a disappointment because we need to win as many games as we can, there are nine games left, there will be a lot of twists and turns.
"We'll just keep going, we might have to overcome the likes of Everton and Aston Villa, it is a tough ask but we'll keep going.
"We set a target of 64 points, any other year it would absolutely guarantee European football, but it doesn't look like it will be the case this season, but we'll keep going, we won't let our season peter out."
