Hughes: We'll take the point

Posted on: Sun 25 Nov 2007

BOSS Mark Hughes felt his side deserved all three, but in the end he was happy to come away with the point from Craven Cottage.

After a goalless first forty-five, Rovers twice had to come from behind thanks to goals from Brett Emerton and Stephen Warnock, but despite their domination, Rovers had to settle for just a single point.

"I thought it was very much like our game last year," said Hughes after the game. "We dominated and should have come away with all the points.

"We are disappointed with the goals that we conceded, but on general performance we were certainly much the better side.

"I thought some of our play was really progressive, we were the side that wanted to get the ball down and pass and create and cause problems.

"We created enough chances to win the game but it wasn't to be so we'll take the point."
