Mark agrees new contract

BLACKBURN Rovers are delighted to announce that manager Mark Hughes has agreed a new contract with the club.

Mark has put pen to paper on a fixed-term deal which will run through until June 2010 followed thereafter by a 12-month rolling agreement.

Chairman John Williams said: "The club has made significant progress during Mark's tenure and we are delighted that he has signed this new contract.

"It is very good news. Mark has done - and continues to do - a great job and we are very confident in his ability to drive the club forward."
