Premier Reserve League
Doncaster Belles 1-3 Rovers Ladies Reserves
Hannah Forster scored a superb brace as Rovers Ladies Reserves won 3-1 away at league leaders Doncaster Belles to move level on points with the Yorkshire side at the top of the table.
As Rovers struggled to get their passing game going on the artificial pitch early on, it was Doncaster who created the first two chances and the home side would have taken the lead but for a fantastic save from Sian Payne.
Instead, it was Rovers who opened the scoring against the run of play on the half hour, when defender Fran Sullivan provided a well-placed finish from a corner.
However, Doncaster drew level just three minutes later, as Rovers failed to defend properly against successive corners.
As the interval approached, Rovers' regained the advantage when Forster picked up possession and fired a 30-yard strike over the Doncaster keeper.
The second-half was an equally scrappy affair, with Rovers applying the pressure and limiting Doncaster to attacks on the break.
Victory was secured 18 minutes from time when a neat piece of play by Nicole Hatcliffe set up Forster, who chipped the keeper from the edge of the area for her second of the game.
Doncaster were awarded an extremely soft penalty late on, but justice was served when Payne made the save.
Manager Scott Rogers said: "I don't think we played anywhere near the level we are capable of, but once again we have won at a very difficult place to come.
"The two goals from Hannah Forster were the bit of class the game needed and swung it in our favour.
"There are plenty of things to work on during the week, but it's another win and it keeps us moving up the league."
