ROVERS' Ladies have been drawn at home in the first round of the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup.

Adam Lakeland's side will face Northern Division outfit Rotherham United in the League Cup opener. The game should take place on Sunday September 14th at Clitheroe's Shawbridge ground.

Last season saw Rovers' Ladies reach the quarter-final of the competition. After defeating Brighton 8-0 in the opening round and Bristol Academy 2-1 in the second round they fell to a 3-2 home defeat to Liverpool.

As part if this season's preparations, the Ladies will take part in the Manchester Umbro Cup over the weekend of July 26th and 27th, followed by another Manchester Cup on August 2nd and 3rd.

A game against Manchester City on Saturday August 9th will take place at Ladybridge FC, Bolton - kick-off 2pm, before a game at Padiham against Newcastle follows on Sunday August 10th, 3.00pm kick-off.

The Ladies' season kicks off away to Arsenal on Sunday August 17th.
