ROVERS Ladies booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Lancashire Cup following a club record victory over Preston North End in the second round.
Adam Lakeland's side will host Brazil Ladies in the last eight of the competition, which they have won the past four years running.
The historic goal-fest included hat-tricks from Stacey Daniel, Michelle Walsh, Hannah Forster and four goals from Karen Hanson.
Other scorers were subs Denise Campbell and Katie Anderton, who both netted twice, and defender Katie Williams, who grabbed one.
Lakeland said: "We are very happy to have progressed to the next round. We are the biggest club in the competition, so it's a great opportunity to bring silverware to the club and also to give experience to our younger players.
"I am very happy with the performance of the team, as Preston never gave up fighting. The play was fantastic and its shows the great potential we have throughout the squad."
Rovers will play Brazil Ladies on Sunday December 16th (kick-off 1.30pm) at Clitheroe FC's Shawbridge Stadium.
