CONTRARY to initial reports, Rovers Ladies striker Katie Anderton has been called up to the latest England squad for the team's final training camp on home soil ahead of this summer's World Cup.

Katie had originally been omitted from the 30-player squad as head coach Hope Powell believed she was still in America with Indiana FC and felt it would cause too much inconvenience for Katie to fly back for the five-day camp.

However, Katie is back in the UK after cutting short her loan summer spell in the States and will join up with Rovers keeper Kay Hawke and the rest of her England team-mates at Bisham Abbey between July 9-13th.

England's opening Group A game of the 2007 Women's World Cup in China takes place at the Shanghai Hongkou Football Stadium against Japan on Tuesday September 11.
