ROVERS Ladies stars Kay Hawke and Katie Anderton received mixed news when the latest England squad was announced ahead of this summer's World Cup.

Just two months before their first game of the tournament finals, the Three Lions will meet for their last training camp on home soil at Bisham Abbey between 9-13 July.

But whilst Kay has retained her place as one of four goalkeepers in the squad, Katie has missed out.

Rovers' star striker, who is currently playing in America with Indiana FC, has been replaced by Charlton Athletic's Eniola Aluko as the only change to Hope Powell's 30-player squad from May's two victories over Northern Ireland and Iceland.

England's opening Group A game of the 2007 Women's World Cup in China takes place at the Shanghai Hongkou Football Stadium against Japan on Tuesday September 11.
