A goalkeeper of high promise, and a German under 17 international. Despite being in his first year at the Academy Bjorn even played two games for the Reserve team last season.

One for the future, Bjorn signed a new deal to keep him at the club until the summer of 2010 and will be looking to build in his second term with the Lancashire club.

Given squad number 40 by manager Paul Ince in September 2008.
