Rovers' Under-18s defeated Sunderland 3-2 in their final friendly before the start of the new Academy season.

Rovers found themselves 2-0 down at half-time after conceding two poor goals.

However, Gary Bowyer's side managed to turn things around, with goals from Jason Banton (pictured), a penalty from Filip Pivkovski and then another penalty from Jadan Hall.

Gary said: "It was a very open game, with chances taken and missed at both ends.

"It was a pleasing work-out ahead of our first game, as it always is against Sunderland, because they're a good team."
