O'Connor in action

Academy defender Anthony O'Connor featured for the Republic of Ireland's under 18s in two friendly matches against Macedonia this week.

In the first match on Tuesday the 17-year-old central defender was in the starting eleven that slipped to a single goal defeat.

But that was avenged on Thursday when the Irish under 18s defeated the Macedonian's 2-1. O'Connor coming on for the final ten minutes of the match.
