Posted on: Mon 15 Mar 2010

ROVERS' FA Cup captain Grant Hanley doesn't want all their hard work to go to waste as Rovers' under 18s prepare to take on Chelsea at Ewood in the 1st leg of the FA Youth Cup this Wednesday night.

Victories over Blackpool, Leyton Orient, Manchester United and then Everton has seen Rovers set up a mouthwatering two-legged semi-final against a highly fancied Chelsea side. And with the first leg at Ewood Park, it is a game to look forward to for the Scottish under 19 international who has already scored twice in this season's competition.

"It is brilliant to reach the semi-finals, we played really well in the 3-0 win over Manchester United, and were excellent again in the win over Everton," said Hanley.

"So we are now all just looking forward to facing Chelsea over the two legs."

The under 18s have already faced and beaten Chelsea this season when the two sides met at Brockhall on the opening day of Academy league campaign. Rovers defender Andy Parry grabbing the only goal of the game to secure a 1-0 win.

"We have beaten them already this season, so we just have to keep doing what we are good at," added Hanley. "Working hard, keep passing the ball, then I think we should be alright."

Season Ticket Holders can see Wednesday evening's game at Ewood Park for free on production of their Season Ticket Cards.

General admission prices on the night are £3 Adults, £1 Concessions.

The Jack Walker lower tier will be open for this game, kick-off is at 7.00pm.
