ROVERS' under 18s drew their opening pre-season friendly 1-1 at Brockhall on Saturday.

Despite the terrible weather conditions, it proved to be a useful workout for the young Academy prospects.

Tranmere took the lead on 50 minutes, but 1st year scholar Gearoid Morrissey levelled for the home side a minute from time with a long-range effort.
