Henning Berg would like to give Rovers supporters some Christmas cheer when they take on Middlesbrough this Boxing Day.

After the game against Brighton was postponed due to the weather, Rovers play their first game of the festive campaign against Tony Mowbray's 'Boro at the Riverside and the Rovers boss wants a performance to reward the supporters.

"We go there looking to get points, looking to win the game if we can," said Berg.

"We need to make sure that we have a really good performance and if we do that, playing to our best standards then we have a good chance a winning.

"The fans have been fantastic and that is good. I like that the supporters are emotional, that they show they care for the team.

"I think they have supported us all the way through. During the games where we are losing there is going to be some people who are disappointed, that is understandable, we are the same. That is just human nature.

"I like the passion, I like that they care, I like that they support the team all the way through the games."

Tickets for the game will be on sale on the day at the Riverside, cash only from the visitors ticket office next to the away turnstiles. Prices are £27 for Adults, £17 for Seniors and £14 for Under 18s.
