Jordan Rhodes, perhaps surprisingly, had to settle for a place on the bench in Scotland boss Gordon Strachan's first game in charge, coming on at the start of the second half as the Scots defeated Estonia 1-0 at Pittodrie.
Charlie Mulgrew scored the only goal of the game six minutes before the break and although Rhodes had opportunities to add to Scotland's lead no further goals were scored.
Grant Hanley didn't feature having returned to Rovers early.
Martin Olsson played the full match for Sweden in their international friendly match with Argentina.
The Rovers full back was on the losing side in Stockholm as Argentina won the friendly 3-2.
Mikael Lustig's third minute own goal gave the visitors an early lead and although Jonas Olsson equalised soon after, Argentina scored two further first half goals through Aguero and Higuain to stretch their advantage. Rasmus Elm reduced arrears in time added on at the end of the game but it came too late to force a comeback.
Earlier in the day Anthony O'Connor and John O'Sullivan both earned their first caps at Under-21 level as the Republic of Ireland defeated the Netherlands 3-0 in Dublin.
Both started on the bench but O'Sullivan was introduced after 36 minutes and O'Connor at half-time as a brace from Aiden O'Brien and an Anthony Forde penalty gave the home side an impressive victory over the Dutch.
For Ireland's Under-19s, Darragh Lenihan will be hoping for more game time when they take on their Czech counterparts this evening. The two sides met on Tuesday night with the Irish winning the first encounter 2-1.
