Following on from their hard-fought 3-2 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday, the Academy claimed their second win of the season away at Bolton.
Saturday's goalscorers were on target once more as Jordan Preston and Dean Rittenberg both scored a goal in each half.
The first half was an even affair but it was Rovers who were the more clinical of the two sides in front of goal, taking the lead after just 14 minutes.
Full back Ian Vicars made the goal, as his charging run and cross was headed into the top corner by Dean Rittenberg from 15 yards to give Rovers the perfect start.
Before the half hour it was 2-0 to the visitors, Jordan Preston applying the final touch in the box after a scramble.
The second half saw Rovers control the game, especially once a third was added just before the hour mark.
Liam Langford, making his first start of the season, ran almost the full length of the pitch to tee up Preston and he made no mistake for his fourth of the season with a first-time effort.
On 75 a fourth duly arrived, good combination play between strikers Rittenberg and Preston allowed Rittenberg to grab his second of the game.
Rovers could have had more, substitute Luke Wall putting over several threatening crosses on a pleasing afternoon for the young side.
"Overall our play was very good, especially after an hour when we kept control of the game," said coach David Lowe.
"It was a very pleasing performance, the boys are developing all the time in the right direction.
"The two strikers have done very well indeed, the team are looking composed and compact in everything they have done."
The Academy are back in action this Saturday at Brockhall when they take on Tottenham, kick-off 11.00am.
