The young Rovers have certainly found their goalscoring touch this summer and they completed their programme with an 8-1 win over Barking Abbey.
The result meant an unbeaten pre-season for the Under-18s, winning seven out of their eight games, the 2-2 draw against Europa League qualifiers Bala Town the only time they didn't taste victory.
Rovers were sloppy starters at Brockhall, going a goal down early on from the penalty spot, but they quickly gained a foothold in the game scoring four times before half-time.
Dean Rittenberg, who scored four goals against Huddersfield Town at the weekend, started with a four-minute brace before midfielders George Pierce and Hyuga Tanner grabbed a goal a-piece.
Four more goals were added in a comprehensive second half. Dean Rittenberg claiming his hat-trick before Callum Harris scored two and trialist Popa completed the scoring.
"For the first hour it was a really decent test," said coach David Lowe.
"Our fitness levels were good and the boys stuck at it.
"We go into the season off the back of some really good performance and some really good results, but we know that it will count for nothing if we don't perform on Saturday against Norwich City.
"It is fair to say that we are really looking forward to the game."
