Rovers have been handed a testing away tie in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Michael Appleton's side will go up against Premier League opposition after being drawn against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Rovers reached the fifth round stage courtesy of a comprehensive 3-0 win over Derby County at Pride Park. Arsenal got the better of Brighton in a five-goal thriller at the Amex Stadium, winning 3-2.
The two sides last met in the FA Cup at the same stage of the competition in February 2007. A goalless draw at the Emirates was followed by a 1-0 win for Rovers in the replay at Ewood Park, Benni McCarthy scoring the famous winning goal.
The draw in full:
Huddersfield Town or Leicester City v Wigan Athletic
Milton Keynes Dons v Barnsley
Oldham Athletic v Everton
Luton Town v Millwall
Arsenal v Rovers
Manchester City v Leeds United
Manchester United v Reading
Middlesbrough v Brentford or Chelsea
Ties to be played the weekend of 16/17 February.
