Jordan Rhodes struck a brace to take his tally to eight for the season, either side of a goal from strike partner Leon Best.
Bowyer was delighted to see Leon get back amongst the goals in what was his second start of the season.
"I thought in the first half he was excellent for us," said Bowyer on Best.
"He supplied a great cross for Jordan, took his goal which was fantastic unselfish play by Corry Evans.
"He adds something different for us up front so hopefully him and Jordan can start to form a very good relationship."
Jordan Rhodes got Rovers on their way with a superbly taken opening goal, bravely diving to head home Leon Best's pin-point cross after ten minutes.
"It was a stunning goal, it was a fantastic cross," added the Rovers boss. "He was brave despite his hand being taped up, he didn't hold back and stuck his head where it hurts.
"He has got a great ability in front of goal and he works tremendously hard on it in training.
"He's forever doing finishing drills, but it isn't just that, if you watch how he works the line and how hard he works.
"We were able to get some support up with him with Besty, he's a natural finisher but he works very hard at it.
"He loves scoring goals and long may that continue."
Rhodes and Best will be back in action this Tuesday night at Ewood Park when Watford are the visitors.
