Forward Anton Forrester has joined Bury on loan for the first half of the 2013-14 campaign.

The 19-year-old, who scored seven for Kevin Blackwell's side in a friendly for Bury on Tuesday, will stay at the League Two club until January 2014.

Signed from Everton during the 2013 January transfer window following a successful trial, Anton is a strong attacking player with a good turn of pace.

The striker scored his first goals for the reserves in only his second appearance with a brace in a 2-1 win over Chelsea in February 2013, going on to score four goals in his first four reserve-team outings.

A first team debut soon followed as the striker featured as a substitute in the FA Cup quarter-final replay against Millwall. This summer has also seen him play for Gary Bowyer's first team in the pre-season friendly against Wrexham.

Rovers have given Bury permission for Forrester to play in this season's Capital One Cup and FA Cup competitions.
