The former Spanish youth international has returned to his homeland and links up with the Madrid-based club on loan with a view to a permanent transfer.
Rochina, who spent the second half of last season with fellow Spanish club Real Zaragoza, returned to Rovers in the summer, but dislocated his shoulder in the opening day draw at Derby County.
After three months out, Rochina returned to action against Reading in November, but has only managed two further substitute appearances and one start.
Boss Gary Bowyer said of the loan move: "Obviously we are seeing it as an opportunity for him him to go out to Spain and get games.
"His injury on the opening day of the season set him back with us. So we've agreed it will be good to get him playing some games and we'll pick it back up in the summer.
"Playing in his native Spain appeals to Ruben, so we'll monitor his progress."
Rochina joined Rovers from Barcelona 'B' in January 2011 and has scored 11 goals in 54 appearances for the club.
