Rovers shortlisted for three top awards

Rovers have been nominated for three accolades at the forthcoming Northwest Football Awards 2012.

Rovers and England Under-21 midfielder Jason Lowe has been shortlisted in the Rising Star Award category for the forthcoming Northwest Football Awards.

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust has been shortlisted in the Community Initiative of the Year category whilst Rovers' Head of Sports Medicine, Dave Fevre, has been shortlisted for the Medical & Sports Science Professional award.
 
Meanwhile, former Rovers striker Yakubu has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Year award.

Consisting of professionals across all aspects of the game, including PFA Chairman Gordon Taylor, the panel of judges have announced the finalists that will be competing for various honours at this year's ceremony, which takes place on Monday November 12th at Lancashire County Cricket Club.
