The club are heading towards a record number of half-season ticket sales

Attendances at Ewood Park look set to be given a timely boost during the second half of the season following a ‘fan-tastic’ early response to Rovers’ half-season ticket offer.

Since going on sale less than two weeks ago, Rovers have already sold over 250 tickets, which is over a third of the way to the record figure from the 2009-10 season.

The 11-game package commences with the Nottingham Forest fixture on New Year’s Day and also includes the high-profile visits of Burnley, Blackpool and Leeds United to Ewood Park.

Adult tickets start from just £149 in the Riverside, Ronnie Clayton Blackburn End and Bryan Douglas Darwen End stands – the equivalent of less than £14 per game. Prices for Juniors (£49) and Young Adults (£89) have been frozen from last season, in keeping with the owners’ commitment of making football as affordable as possible for the club’s young fans.

Rovers’ operations director Paul Agnew said: “We are absolutely delighted by the initial response to half-season tickets and it would be great to go on and see the club set a new sales record.

“This is traditionally one of our most popular promotions among supporters, but rarely have we started with such impact as this.

"We are not yet in December and there remains a full month to run before the half-season tickets kick in, which makes the early sales figures even more encouraging.”

The great value gift is on sale now from the Roverstore (Ewood Park), Oneroverstore (Blackburn town centre), via the website or by ringing 0871 222 1444. Adults can also spread the cost over three months with the popular direct debit payment plan.
