Blackburn Rovers is delighted to announce that it has been successfully granted a licence to run an FA Girls' Centre of Excellence for the 2014-15 season.

The club has garnered a reputation for being one of the flagship Centres in the country for good practice, having produced countless players that have gone on to play first-team football and gain international recognition at youth level.

Last season, six players were selected for England duty, whilst no fewer than nine Centre of Excellence graduates made their debuts for Rovers Ladies.

Rovers' Under-17s also enjoyed a season to remember, finishing as runners-up at the prestigious Dallas International Girls Cup and reaching the semi-final stage of the FA Girls' Youth Cup.

The club is committed to developing and finding football's female stars of the future, with Centre of Excellence trials set to take place throughout June.

Meanwhile, the start date for the FA Women's Premier League 2014-15 season has been confirmed as Sunday August 17th.
