The 1-1 draw on Saturday against Crystal Palace all but ensured Rovers' place in next season's Championship with the manager full of praise for the way the players have rallied in the final few weeks of the campaign.
Three wins and a draw in Rovers' last five games means they'll avoid any last day jitters, only a set of unlikely scorelines standing in the way of their place in the Championship for 2013-14.
"Full credit goes to the players, they had a siege mentality and some of the performances have been tremendous," Bowyer told Radio Rovers.
"Tuesday night away at Millwall was an unbelievable performance.
"The way that we bounced back after successive defeats against Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday, to then come and produce two home victories and performances is very much full credit to the them."
Bowyer also believes that with the young players Rovers have in their squad the future can certainly be a brighter one.
Saturday's 18-man squad featured six players aged 21 or under, which bodes well for the seasons ahead.
Bowyer added: "If you look at the squad that we've got and look at the young players we have, Jake Kean is 22, he looks a lot older but he is 22. Adam Henley, he's still 18, he doesn't turn 19 until June.
"Grant Hanley is only 21 and what a magnificent season he's had. Josh Morris, who has been outstanding the last few weeks is only 21.
"Todd Kane has been here on loan and he's only 19 years of age, Jason Lowe there's another who is 21, Josh King is only 21 and I'm sure I've missed somebody out.
"You've got a lot of young players who can become the core of this football club for a long time.
"That gives us a lot of confidence knowing that you've got those players around.
"Then you add the experience and the quality that Scott Dann provides, Dunny has been magnificent towards the end of the season with us when he's had his run.
"There are loads more players in there that have contributed, but the young lads, especially for myself, I am proud of them."
Rovers are in action for the final time this season when they travel to St. Andrews to take on Birmingham next Saturday, kick-off 12.45pm.
