Northern Ireland group, ‘Playing for the Future - Technical Skills Academy’ were special visitors to Blackburn Rovers earlier this month.

The children visited Ewood Park to take part in a specially arranged training session at the BRIC under the guidance of BRFC Community Coach, Sam Dixon.

The boys, aged between 10-13 years old, are members of the ‘Technical Skills Academy’ that provides skills coaching on a weekly basis to kids from a wide range of backgrounds and from different clubs.

Director of ‘Playing For The Future’ Thomas McStravick said: “I would like to thank Blackburn Rovers for looking after us so well on our visit.

"The kids had an amazing time and the experience will live with them forever. Everyone from the kids to the parents stated how impressed they were with the stadium and the club.

"Our programme is all about providing opportunities for kids to learn and develop their knowledge and skills that will stand by them in the future."
