Players return to training

The Senior Training Centre will be a busier place this morning as the first team return to training.

After an eight week break, Gary Bowyer's squad return to Brockhall to begin their preparations for the 2014-15 campaign.

The players will spend a week training twice daily before their first match against Conference new boys AFC Telford United at the New Bucks Stadium on Saturday July 12th. Ticket information for the 3.00pm match can be found here.

Following that the manager will take the squad off to Portugal for a week of intense fitness work on the Algarve.

James Beattie's Accrington Stanley are the opponents on Rovers' return to the UK. They are at the Store First Stadium on Wednesday 23rd July, kick-off 7.45pm. Ticket details are available here.

The Coral Windows Stadium - home of Bradford City - follow for Rovers, they take on the Yorkshire side on Saturday 26th July, kick-off 3.00pm. Tickets are now on sale for this fixture.

A midweek match against Bury at the JD Stadium the following Wednesday 30th July is Rovers' penultimate pre-season friendly, before they end their preparations with a match against a former Rover as Mark Hughes' Stoke City are the visitors to Ewood Park on Sunday August 3rd, kick-off 3.00pm.

Rovers kick off the league season with the 2014-15 campaign starting the following Friday August 8th with Cardiff City the visitors to Ewood Park.
