Jordan Rhodes may have bagged his first goals for Rovers in the enthralling 5-3 win over Bristol City on Saturday but it was the first away win of the season that pleased the young striker the most.
Rhodes opened his goalscoring account with Rovers' first and last goals in a pulsating match at Ashton Gate, the three points seeing the club move to the top of the table.
"It is just pleasing to get the three points and what a game to do that in," said Rhodes post-match.
"We came from behind after they scored in the first minute, then we were up in the game twice, it certainly was a rollercoaster.
"Last time it was 3-3, this week it's 5-3, both action packed games and a lot of fun to be a part of."
Rovers recovered quickly from the shock of going behind after just 45 seconds, evening up the scores at the midway point of the first half when Rhodes latched onto a through ball from strike partner Nuno Gomes to finish cooly past Tom Heaton.
A further five goals were scored before Rhodes grabbed his second of the game and Rovers' fifth to seal the victory, racing away before lashing the ball home in fine style.
"It was a really good ball from Nuno," said Rhodes of the first goal. "He had a really good game and he was a joy play to alongside.
"He can see things and does things that are just incredible at times, it can take the breath away.
"He managed to find me and I managed to sneak the ball down the side of the goalie.
"For any goal to hit the back of the net is very good in my eyes.
"For the second goal I don't know why I didn't take the ball into the corner, but I just managed to find that far corner.
"It is good to see them go in the net but I'm just happy that the team won and we managed to get the three points."
Fans can get the chance to see Rhodes in action at Ewood Park for the first time this Tuesday night when Rovers take on Barnsley in the 7.45pm kick-off.
