The Rovers forward has linked up with the Serie A side on loan until June 30th.
Formica joined Rovers during the 2011 January transfer window, arriving from Argentinian club Newell's Old Boys for an undisclosed fee on a deal that runs until the summer of 2014.
During his time with Rovers, Formica has made 54 appearances, scoring five goals - the last one coming in the 4-1 win away to Peterborough in November.
