Brendan, who has supported Rovers for over 25 years, recently spent the money he had saved for a season ticket on a trip to Paris for his wife Sonia’s birthday.
Sonia is certain Brendan would still find the funds to purchase a season ticket for the forthcoming campaign, but wanted to repay her husband’s gratifying generosity by nominating his family in Rovers’ Golden Ticket giveaway.
A long-serving supporter home and away, Brendan now only attends games at Ewood Park with his dad Sean and sister Katie, who talks about Rovers non-stop and was once a team mascot during the 1998-99 season.
Despite missing out on the main prize of four free season tickets, which was claimed by the Wilson family on Monday, the Mullen’s have been awarded a Golden Ticket by Rovers’ owner Madam Desai, who has chosen to reward the other five family finalists every day this week.
The club are giving away 20 Golden Tickets in total to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Rovers’ Premiership title triumph in 1994-95.
Details of how to get your hands on the final few free season tickets for the 2014-15 Championship campaign will be released shortly!
