The left-sided player, who can operate at either full back or further forward, has linked up with the League Two promotion chasers initially until March 25th 2014.
Academy graduate Morris ended last season as a regular for Rovers at left back, making ten appearances, but the arrival of Tommy Spurr over the summer has seen his first team opportunities limited.
This season Morris has made just the one start for Rovers, back in August in the Capital One Cup against Carlisle United. With four further substitute appearances in the league.
The 22-year-old, who has previously had loan spells with Yeovil Town, Rotherham United, and Carlisle United, will go straight into Graham Alexander's squad for their home game against Plymouth Argyle this evening.
