Rovers’ visit to Leeds United on Sunday April 13th will now be played at Elland Road and their game against Stoke City on Sunday May 11th has been moved to the Britannia Stadium.
Interim manager Gemma Donnelly wants her young team to enjoy the experience, but not to lose sight of the objective of trying to pick up maximum points.
She said: “You can’t really ask for any better than that – they are two great stadiums!
“It’s a massive thing just to be asked and we’ll be travelling in style, as the club have given us the first team coach for both fixtures.
“Perhaps they think they’re guaranteed the points, given our current league position, so that’s something that we can use to our advantage. We’ve had particularly close games against both teams this season, so we’re hoping that both will be good games again.
“Despite having the luxury of the first team coach and playing at such big stadiums, we’ve just got to go and do a job. Try and enjoy the experience, but when we get there, do the job on the pitch.”
Rovers are back in action against local rivals Preston in the final of the Lancashire FA Womens Challenge Cup at the County Ground in Leyland on Friday night (kick-off 7.30pm).
