Rovers to face Preston North End in the semi-final of the Lancashire Cup.

Rovers Ladies have been drawn away to local rivals Preston North End in the semi-finals of the Lancashire Womens Challenge Cup.

The tie will take place at Bamber Bridge on Sunday January 20th, kick-off 1.30pm.

Scott Rogers' side booked their place in the last four of the competition courtesy of an emphatic 9-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.

Preston bettered Rovers' result, thrashing Skem Athletic 15-0 in their quarter-final fixture.

The two teams have met twice already this season, with Rovers coming from behind to secure a share of the spoils in an eight-goal thriller at Preston in September, before romping to a 5-0 win in the Premier League Cup just two weeks later.

Rovers also recorded a 1-0 win away to Preston at the quarter-final stage last season, en route to lifting the county crown for the eighth time in nine years.

Atherton Town will host last season's runners-up Blackpool Wren Rovers in the other semi-final.
