Following three successive cup encounters, Rovers, who are without a win in the league since September, will hope to kick-start their season in the Premier League Northern Division against the Rams on Sunday.
Rovers beat Blackburn Community Sports Club 5-0 last time out and interim manager Gemma Donnelly hopes her side can maintain the momentum built up in recent weeks.
“We go into the game on the back of two improved performances,” she said.
“We played really well in the second half against Sheffield in the Premier League Cup and then the Lancashire Cup fixture lifted our spirits and raised confidence.
“We are expecting a hard-fought game, but I’m confident, given the tempo at training this week and the feeling amongst the camp, we can come away with a positive result.
“The girls’ attitude and work rate has been first class and they are determined to get back on track and show that they can be competitive in this division.”
