Rovers Ladies will be looking for a repeat performance when they take on Sporting Club Albion for the second weekend running.

Rovers returned to winning ways in the Northern Division with a 1-0 victory over the West Midlands outfit last weekend.

Interim manager Gemma Donnelly hopes her side can replicate that result in the Premier League Cup competition this Sunday.

“We go into the game in confident mood after last week,” she said.

“The players have a clearer idea of what is expected of them and they are determined to show that last weekend’s result wasn’t a one-off.

“They will continue to work and train hard in order to prove that they are a better side than the league table suggests.

“The squad will be bolstered by the arrival of new signing Lindsay Savage from Manchester City and we are confident we will come away with another positive result.”
