Gary Bowyer wants Rovers to ensure that there is still everything to play for after this weekend's match against Charlton Athletic.

Rovers find themselves just three points off a top-six spot with two games remaining, and with the best unbeaten run in the league at the moment, the manager knows it is still within their grasp.

"We've extended the run to ten games unbeaten now, we now go into the Charlton game with something to play for," said Bowyer.

"We said before the game it is about keeping our season alive and that is what we've done.

"All we can do is focus on our performances and what we can control and we've said that for a long time now."

The results over the Easter period closed the pack chasing a play-off spot, with the Rovers boss predicting plenty more twists and turns before the regular season draws to a close on May 3rd.

Bowyer added: "After Friday people had written us off saying that was the end of the play-offs, all we said was that the Championship has got twists, and even with two games left there is going to be twists.

"So you've just got to try and stay level and not get carried away. That is what we've done, we've not got carried away throughout the season and we aren't going to do it now.

"We've just got to recover and prepare properly for the game at Charlton which is going to be very difficult. There's a lot of football to play, we've just got to keep going."
