Goalkeeper Jake Kean has spoken of his delight after signing an extended contract with the football club.
The 21-year-old has put pen-to-paper on an extension to his current deal that sees the young stopper contracted to the club until the summer of 2016.
"I'm over the moon to have extended my contract at the club," said Jake. "It looks like it is moving in the right direction and I'm just happy to be a part of it.
"Bobby (Mimms) has been brilliant with me, to take a chance on me when my time at Derby finished and to fight to keep me here and I just feel that I've proven him right with this new contract and the way I have developed and have been playing recently."
Kean has enjoyed loan spells away from the club during the last two seasons, but he's happy to continue to learn his trade from goalkeeping coach Bobby Mimms and Paul Robinson.
"It is brilliant that you are involved with the first team and you've got the likes of Robbo and Mimmsy to work with everyday," added the 'keeper.
"But it is difficult with having that first team experience that I want to go and play. But I'm happy to be a part of this team and a part of this squad and to see where we can get this year."
Eric Black is also delighted that the young stopper has committed to extended his stay: "I think it is a fantastic boost, I think he is going to be a top goalkeeper, I really do.
"I have been mightily impressed with his performances ever since I've been here and I know how much Bobby Mimms thinks of him and I think we've got a top class goalkeeper on our hands so thankfully he signed a new two-year contract."
