The highly-rated England Under-20 international has signed a two-year extension to his current contract, which will keep him at Ewood Park until June 2016.
Jake, 21, joined Rovers from Derby County towards the end of the 2008-09 season after impressing on trial.
After rising through the ranks at Rovers, he enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell with Hartlepool in 2010-11, before gaining further first team experience with Rochdale last term.
Jake made his Premier League debut against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on the final day of last season, taking plenty of plaudits for his performance, and made his second Rovers appearance away to MK Dons in the Capital One Cup this August.
He has been Rovers’ second-choice keeper for every Championship fixture this season and is relishing a return to Pride Park this weekend.
