Jack O'Connell earned his fifth cap at Under-19 level on Thursday night as England defeated Turkey 1-0.

The central defender, who is currently on loan with York City, played the full match for Noel Blake's side at the New Bucks Head Stadium, Telford.

Southampton's Calum Chambers grabbed the only goal of the game in the first half.

Jason Lowe played the last twenty minutes at Adams Park as England's Under-21s continued their winning run with a 3-0 win over Romania.

A first half strike from Wilfried Zaha was added to by second half goals from Jack Robinson and Nathan Delfouneso as Stuart Pearce's side stretched their unbeaten run to 16-months. 

Injury prevented Fabio Nunes from representing Portugal's Under-21 side in their friendly against Sweden in which Portugal lost 1-0. The Rovers wideman will also be absent for next Monday's match against the Republic of Ireland's Under-21s in Dublin.

Karim Rekik's Dutch Under-19 side were comfortable 6-0 victors over the Czech Republic in Werkendam.
