Rovers' Under-18s got back to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-1 victory at Norwich City.
A first half strike from Callum Harris was followed up by a brace in the second from Ryan Humphreys saw Terry McPhillips' side claim all three points.
Rovers were slow starters, Norwich having the better of the opening exchanges with Carlton Morris going close for the hosts but it was scrambled away.
Slowly but surely Rovers started to come more into the match and they took the lead on 40 minutes.
A clever ball over the defender from Tom Brown allowed Callum Harris to collect and the young winger advanced before firing into the bottom corner for his first Academy goal of the campaign.
Norwich drew level shortly after the restart, a ball into the area wasn't dealt with and Roderick Young found the back of the net.
However the introduction of Deniz Pero on 55 minutes provided the catalyst that Rovers needed and they didn't look back.
On 63 minutes Ryan Humphreys grabbed his first of the game, ghosting in at the back post to fire home.
11 minutes later he repeated the move, timing his arrival at the back to meet Jordan Preston's centre to score his second of the game.
"We were sluggish in the first half," said coach Terry McPhillips. "Maybe it was due to the long journey down.
"They've missed some good chances and our goalie has had to make some saves.
"Once Deniz came on I thought we came to life and were the better team, we played much better and scored some good goals.
"We'll now work hard gearing up towards our home game with Everton this Saturday."
