Rovers’ reward for knocking out Derby County in the National Under-17 Youth Cup is a semi-final tie at home to Everton.

Rovers’ Centre of Excellence side recorded the stand-out result of the second round when they thrashed the current cup holders 5-0 at their Cobham training ground and followed that up with an impressive 4-1 win over the Rams in the last eight of the competition. A game in which striker Rio Hardy scored all four.

Their opponents Everton have reached the semi-final stage after beating Colchester United 3-1 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in normal time. The Toffees had previously seen off Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool in earlier rounds.

Semi-final draw in full:

Arsenal v Aston Villa
Blackburn v Everton

Ties to be played on Saturday 6th April.
