Henning Berg is expecting a tough baptism when he takes charge of Rovers for the first time on Saturday.
It is fourth verses fifth as Rovers travel to Selhurst Park looking to make it three wins in a row and to leapfrog Crystal Palace in the league table but Berg knows it won't be an easy game.
"They are all tough games but that is fine," said Berg. "But I am really looking forward to the game.
"I feel that the team is doing well and we want to continue that run and build on it and develop as a team."
In a strange twist, Berg's first game after signing for Rovers back in January 1993 was against tomorrow's opponents.
"That is life," added the Norwegian. "It is strange how things like this work out, maybe it is meant to be."
Supporters who haven't yet purchased tickets for the game against Crystal Palace have until 3.30pm this Friday to obtain them from the Roverstore at Ewood Park.
Tickets will be on sale from Selhurst Park on the day of the game, prices are £26 for Adults, £15 for Juniors, Seniors and Students.
