Forrester to the fore

Anton Forrester will make his Rovers' debut this evening when the Under-21s take on Aston Villa.

The former Everton youngster joined the club last month and he'll lead the line for Rovers at the Greene King Stadium this Monday night.

With a host of reserve-team regulars out on loan, along with the international friendlies taking place this week, Gary Bowyer has named a youthful side with just Nuno Henrique over age.

There's a welcome return to action for Raheem Hanley following a hip injury, whilst the substitutes bench sees Deniz Pero included for the first time following the German's goal in the Academy's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough at the weekend.

Kick-off this evening is at 7.00pm.
