Following Tuesday's announcement that Rovers will face Derby County on the opening weekend of the 2013-14 season, their first home game on Saturday August 10th will be against Nottingham Forest.
Rovers were unbeaten against Forest last season. A goalless draw at the City Ground in October was followed up by an emphatic 3-0 Ewood Park win under Bowyer's stewardship on New Years Day. Ruben Rochina, Jordan Rhodes and Colin Kazim-Richards grabbing second half goals.
A first trip to the Keepmoat Stadium follows the week after as Rovers take on newly promoted Doncaster Rovers before they see out August with a homes game against Barnsley on August 24th and Bolton Wanderers on August 31st.
The first East Lancs derby takes place at Turf Moor on the weekend of September 14th/15th. The two sides will meet at Ewood over the weekend of March 8th/9th.
Supporters should also note that due to Wigan Athletic's involvement in the Europa League, the away match at the DW Stadium scheduled to take place on Saturday October 5th could move to the Sunday.
Rovers are at home on Boxing Day to Sheffield Wednesday with only a short trip to Leeds United on New Years Day.
The 2013-14 season ends with a home match against near neighbours Wigan Athletic on May 3rd.
