The on-loan midfielder played a key role in Rovers' midweek win over Millwall at the Den, sending over the corner kick that deflected in to equalise.
The players were on a high after Tuesday's 2-1 victory as Rovers moved up to 15th in the table, five points ahead of the bottom three, but Jones knows that there is still work to do.
"Coming back from Millwall was a mixture of emotions, delight and relief, but knowing that we still have a job to do on Saturday," said Jones.
"We feel like that gap has lifted a little bit of pressure but we still want to keep that edge there to be competitive because we've got a massive game on Saturday where we need to put the season to bed really.
"The teams that can catch us will definitely be really working hard for the win this weekend and we don't want it going to the last day," added the midfielder.
"It is in our hands, it has lifted a little bit of pressure off so we can relax and go into the game full of confidence, but knowing that we need to get the win to secure it.
"We've made a big step this week and now we want to finish it off because Blackburn deserves to be not only in this league but a top club in the country."
