Wing wizard Markus Olsson is looking forward to an extended run of games from now until the end of the season.

Olsson has had a frustrated time with injuries in recent months, but after his impressive return to first team action, he wants that to continue for the second half of the campaign.

The Swede's energy and enthusiasm shone through in the 3-0 win over Derby County on Saturday, having one goal disallowed before teeing up Jordan Rhodes for Rovers' third.

"I've been back for the last few games and I have been feeling good in training," said Markus.

"Since the new gaffer has come in, the type of play he wants, it makes me happy every day.

"Everybody wants to win and hopefully now we can go on a good run.

"There is more competition for places now, everybody wants to play, we had a good performance against Brighton, then against Derby, so hopefully we can build on from that now and get some points."

Olsson had a bright start to the campaign but a hamstring injury sustained in the 5-3 win over Bristol City back in September saw him sidelined for six weeks, the Swede briefly returned but a niggling hamstring injury has meant a stop-start last few months.

"I started well this season but then got the injury which kept me out for a long time" added Olsson.

"I came back and we had a good run but I got injured again so it has been frustrating.

"So when I got into the side I just wanted to show that I want to be with the team in the starting 11 and to do my best in training to show the gaffer I want to play.

"I'm an energy player and when I focus 100% that is when I play well, so that is what I am trying to do."

See Markus and Rovers in action this Saturday when Bristol City are the visitors to Ewood Park. Tickets for the game are on open sale priced from £15 for Adults, £10 for Seniors and £5 Juniors. Book online today at www.onerovers.co.uk.
