The pair were both on the scoresheet at the weekend in the 3-1 win at the Goldsands Stadium, Best laying on the key opening goal for Rhodes.
The striker feels that the more he and Rhodes feature together the better the partnership will become and is excited for the season.
"When you play together you know what the other player plays like," Best told Rovers Player
"So the more I play with Jordan the more I'll know what he likes to do and I'll and do the opposite so it makes us link up.
"I know Jordan likes to play on the shoulder and in a lot of teams I've played on the shoulder, so I'll come inside because the space will be there because the defenders will be marking him.
"So I'm very excited to play with him, as well Josh, Tom, Corry, and Lowey. We are all gelling nicely slowly but surely and it is exciting."
The former Newcastle frontman is expecting a tough match against the Hornets this evening, but hopes to add two his two away goals with his first for the club at Ewood Park.
"I'm definitely waiting for that one, hopefully it will come against Watford," added Best.
"We have to worry about Watford because they are a good passing team and they do play well, but we have the players and I look at our team and I think we are one of the best in the league.
"It is a matter of gelling and playing well and if we carry on playing like we did on Saturday then I think any team against us will struggle.
"There is much more to come, everyone is playing with confidence.
"I've got so much more to come as I'm nowhere near as sharp as I should be, but as long as I keep getting my minutes up, and no injuries, and keep either getting assists or goals then my confidence will be there."
Tickets for tonight's match will be on sale up until the 7.45pm kick-off.
Prices are from £15 adults, £10 seniors and £5 juniors.
